Growing up, I was surrounded by my Grandmother’s artwork hanging from our walls, and with her influence, I looked into making my own. In school, I took as many art, drafting and technical classes they had to offer. In further pursuit of an art career, I would have liked to go to Academy of Art, but ended up with a CSULB business marketing degree - Ha! Still, years after graduating, the art muse lingers, and has brought me to this point in life. So, hello Friends & Family! Welcome to my site of creations and concepts influenced by my everyday…. composed from elements of the Pacific Islands, tattoo, hip-hop and other recreational activities - the SHOP is open for business. I am still curating the portfolio galleries, so if it seems bare, the site is still a work in progress.
Hope you enjoy - Manuia!

About my logo update…
…there are two elements, the Manu and Niho. These motifs are my take on the markings seen in tatau culture across the Pacific:
The ‘Manu’ represents a sea bird, and for me represents a guide to solid ground. When lost at sea, sailors would look to the sky for manu to know they were close to ‘home’.
‘Niho’ depicts shark teeth and can represent: power, protection, strength, and courage. Sharks have more than one row of teeth, where if one tooth is lost, another behind will take its place.
Combined my logo represents ‘a protection of this journey to find solid ground’.
